Two cookies keep you signed in. Everything else is optional, off by default, and switchable on this page.
We keep it minimal
CHOICE uses strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in, and — only if you explicitly agree — analytics to understand how the app is used. We never use advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and we never share your viewing data with advertisers. What you watch and rate stays on CHOICE.
Strictly necessary cookies
These are set automatically and can't be turned off — without them the app simply won't work.
| Cookie | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|
| sb-<project>-auth-token (.0, .1, …) | Your Supabase session — keeps you logged in. May be split across numbered chunks. | Up to ~400 days; refreshed while you use the app |
| onboarding_done | Remembers that you finished onboarding, so we don't redirect you back to it | 1 year |
We also use your browser's local storage for two small, non-tracking preferences: your interface language (language) and your cookie choice itself (choice-cookie-consent).
Analytics (only with your consent)
If you press "Accept" on our cookie banner, we enable PostHog analytics, which stores identifiers in your browser's local storage (keys starting with ph_) to measure how features are used. PostHog is hosted in the United States. If you choose "Necessary only" — or never make a choice — no analytics code runs and no data is sent. You can change your mind at any time below.

YouTube trailers
When you watch a trailer, the video is loaded from YouTube, which may set its own cookies. These are only activated when you choose to play a trailer, and are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Managing cookies
Analytics can be switched off at any time using the controls above. The strictly necessary cookies can't be turned off while you're signed in, but you can clear them at any time in your browser settings — doing so will sign you out of CHOICE.
